“#Trimble has been touting robotics in #construction for a while now, but imagine what you can do and what you can capture on your project with the #TrimbleX7 and #SPOT!”
“P.S. – the #X7 makes its appearance at 1:10 if you’re looking for us!”
“Our use of the X7 has allowed us to bring back field data to locate, identify, and model elements that are not on drawings and/or interfere with the installation of our work scope before we mobilize a crew. On a recent project this allowed us to model roof trusses to confidently prefabricate ceiling hangers(drawing dimensions were incorrect). With the X7 we are also able to verify that all the information is captured and registered before we leave the site. The scan data is colorized and exported to our preferred format(.rcp for Revit use) while traveling back to the office and ready to use immediately. There is no doubt, because of the X7 we see productivity gains both in the field and the office.” – Chad Less, Project Manager, VEC, Inc.
“Robot ‘dog’ captures data for Denver International Airport renovation project. Hensel Phelps is using Trimble’s X7 laser scanner to communicate directly with the Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot as it autonomously performs scans of the job site.”
“Reference scans to the BIM model or PDF quickly in the field. Then export those registered and reference scans directly to your preferred CAD or collaboration program, were they will land in the same position!”
